Domaine L'Ostal Cazes
Domaine L’Ostal Cazes lies midway between Carcassone and Narbonne, in the foothills of the Montagne Noires within the Cru designated appellation of Minervois La Liviniere.
In 2002 Jean Michel Cazes (of Chateau Lynch Bages), seduced by the charm and potential of the region, bought two adjacent properties sited right up in the steep slopes and followed this with the purchase and conversion of a 19th century tile factory ‘La Tuilerie’. The result is the creation of a truly magnificent estate covering 150 hectares that produces great wine and olive oil.
La Liviniere is now recognised as producing some of the best wines in the South of France and the Grand Vin is certainly that, whilst the little brother is very well groomed, smart and highly recommended.
